This article explains some of the issues that humans on earth will have to face if the population continues growing and reaches 11 billion. Some of the problems include food security, disease outbreaks, water security, and sanitation problems.
Human population growth is a large problem globally. Since there is a finite amount of resources for humans to use on this planet, slowing population growth and using resources sustainably should be a priority. A major way to slow population growth is to empower women and give them access to birth control. Eliminating poverty would also help the population size get closer to stable. If population growth is not gotten under control in the near future, the next generations could face even more serious competition for resources, especially food and water, and especially in developing countries.
